Raiden Cook, four-star defense end, Barbers Hill
Barbers Hill opened its season with a 38-10 win over Nimitz Friday night. Cook made his presence known with seven tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and three quarterback hurries. The Eagles will host Crosby (1-0) at 7 p.m. Friday at Eagles Stadium. Crosby routed Dayton 45-15 in its season opener.

Braden Baker, three-star quarterback, Cypress Ranch
Cypress Ranch defeated Fort Bend Hightower 24-7 Friday night in its season opener. Mustang quarterback Baker finished the game 16 of 36 with one touchdown and an interception. Baker is more of a pocket passer but had eight carries for 38 yards. Cy Ranch will host C.E. King at 7 p.m. Friday at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium. C.E King opened its season with a 70-10 win over Conroe

Kendray Porter Jr., three-star running back, Newton
Newton opened up its season with a 44-28 lost to West Orange-Stark Friday night. Porter finished the game with 16 carries for 174 yards including an 86-yard rush for the Eagles. Newton will be looking for its first win of the season next week as the Eagles take on Franklin on Friday night.

Louisiana high school football starts next week for Joseph and Watson as Central will host Acadiana on Friday.
Samuel Theirgood, three-star offensive tackle, Richmond Randle
Randle opened its season with a 20-14 win over South Oak Cliff Friday night at Prairie View A&M. It was a rematch of last year’s Class 6A, Division II state final game where the Golden Bears defeated the Lions 35-19.
Randle rushed for 319 yards while Texas running back commit William-Callis had 33 carries for 230 yards with two touchdowns. Randle will host Westfield at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Planet Ford Stadium. Westfield open the season with a 16-10 win over Heights.

Jerrell Bridges, three-star linebacker, Midlothian
Midlothian defeated Chisholm Trail 41-15 in its season opener Friday night. Bridges finished with five tackles, one interception and two passes defended for the Panthers. Midlothian will hit the road to take on Ennis at 7 p.m. Friday. Ennis is coming off a
72-14 loss over Waxahachie in its season opener.

Tavon Bolden, three-star safety, Atascocita
Atascocita lost its season opener 28-17 Saturday afternoon at Legacy Stadium. Bolden has seven tackles (unofficial). The Eagles will look for its first win next season as Atascocita host Steele 6 p.m. Saturday at Turner Stadium.
Kamryn Harris, three-star linebacker, Pearland
Pearland routed Clear Falls 49-3 in its season opener. Harris had a 26-yard interception returned for a TD with seven tackles and one sack for the Oilers. Pearland will host Paetow on Friday
